Cello Voices performs light classical music including works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Grainger, Gershwin, Villa Lobos
September 8, 2023 -- For immediate release
Founded by Liz Brazier in 2003, Cello Voices grew out of several professional cello teachers from Devon and Cornwall getting together to coach on a cello weekend for adult cellists culminating in a concert given by the cello teachers. Now directed by Barbara Degener, the ensemble performs a repertoire of light classical music including works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Grainger, Gershwin, Villa Lobos etc.
As well as their concert programme, Cello Voices offer an annual weekend course for aspiring adult cellists at the Mullion Cove Hotel. This has proved very popular with up to thirty cellists in attendance.
The concert will be in Tremayne Hall, Mylor Bridge, TR11 5NA on 7 October at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available for purchase via the Carrick Concerts website, by phone on 01326 374237, or from the village stores in Mylor Bridge and Flushing.
