Historic Enys House to Host Music, Gardens and Canapés Evening

Enjoy an evening of world-class chamber music in one of Cornwall's most atmospheric historic settings when the Alegria Ensemble performs at Enys House near Penryn this September.

Three Centuries of Piano Trios will take place on Saturday 5 September, bringing together violinist Chloe Dickens, pianist Ricky Moreira and cellist Sara Juneau for a programme spanning more than 200 years of musical history.

The event marks a welcome return to Carrick Concerts for Chloe Dickens and Ricky Moreira, whose previous appearances were enthusiastically received by local audiences. Joined by Sara Juneau, the trio will perform works by Haydn, Brahms and contemporary American composer Joel Mandelbaum, exploring the evolution of the piano trio from the Classical era to the present day. The ensemble's personal connection with Mandelbaum offers audiences a rare opportunity to hear and gain insight into music by a living composer.

Guests are invited to arrive early and make a full evening of the occasion. Ticket holders will enjoy exclusive evening access to the historic Enys Gardens from 6pm, together with complimentary canapés before the concert. A bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments will be open before the performance and during the interval.

Carrick Concerts is also encouraging younger audiences to discover live classical music by offering free tickets to anyone aged under 25, although advance booking is essential.
